National Evening of Science on Screen®

March 28, 2023

We're thrilled to be participating in the 2023 National Evening of Science on Screen® with a special FilmEd Field Trip! Join us to explore the scientific themes in NYICFF’s 2022 Girls' POV: Science on Screen® and chat with Nic Yulo, STEM content creator and director of Horizon and Knights in Newark, two of the films featured in the program. Discover the profound impact that representation can have in encouraging girls and women to pursue STEM-based careers and study.

This short film program looks forward, and back, to celebrate stories of young scientists who are trailblazing creative ways to solve some of the world’s biggest challenges. So whether you’re inspired by the historical tale of a 19th century fossil hunter, interested in real-life stories of young innovators like Gitanjali Rao, or take your social justice with a hint of sci-fi, you’ll see that there’s no science to gender bias; these girls lead the field!
