Submit Your Film to Our Festival
We scour the globe for the best new animation, live action, documentary, and experimental films each year. We’re looking for innovative, original, non-formulaic short and feature films that support our mission to create a more dynamic film culture for children and teens. We often program films that were not created with a young audience in mind, but are received passionately and enthusiastically by attendees ages 3-18 nonetheless. We’re not shy about showing films with mature themes, subject matter, language, or sensibilities.

As an Academy® qualifying festival, winners of the Festival’s juried prizes are eligible for Oscar® consideration in the Best Animated and Best Live Action Short Film categories.

Submissions Now Extended on FilmFreeway!

Submissions are almost closed for the 2019 Festival, but here’s a last minute opportunity to share! We’re partnering with FilmFreeway to offer an expanded window for short film submissions, open now through December 1st. (Feature film submissions will also be accepted through December 1st on both our Film Freeway and Withoutabox platforms.)
