Interested in Joining our Parent Council?
We’re seeking NYICFF parents who are looking to get more involved with the Festival. This is your opportunity to support our artful, thoughtful films that build empathy and cross-cultural understanding in young audiences—while bringing your community together. We want to hear from you—share your feedback with us and share the Festival with your kids’ school.
You get:
- Early access to Festival tickets (after members, before the general public)
- Priority FilmEd Field Trip booking for your school
- Opportunity to connect with NYICFF staff and other NYICFF parents
- Invitations to private receptions and/or events
- Inclusion in our school partnership program
- Your school listed on our website
- A NYICFF membership to include in your school’s auction
- Opportunity to host a community event for your school at a Festival screening*
In return, you’ll be the point of contact for your school’s participation in our school partnership program. It’s easy:
- We drop off Festival brochures for all of your students
- You send a few weekly emails to your school community leading up to and throughout the 2025 Festival.
- You encourage your community to purchase tickets, raising $2 for your parent association with each ticket attributed to your school
- Your school raises money and sees some great films!
We’ll send you everything you need to share with your school—all you have to do is hit send. Plus, we may have some special prizes along the way!
The only requirement is a commitment to sharing the Festival with your school community and attending one virtual information session between September and January. (If you’re already that parent constantly enlisting friends to come to the Festival, you’re basically already doing the job!)
Please note that we are only able to accommodate 1-2 parents for each school, and selections will be made on a first come, first served basis.
*Festival screenings are a great way to build community outside of school. Take in some of the best films from around the world, start conversations among classmates and parents, and fundraise for your parent association! We’ll provide a block of tickets to a suggested screening, accessible only to your school, and directions for how to redeem them. All you have to do is share and show up.
Fill out the following form, and we’ll get back to you with next steps!
