In this special NYICFF Spanish and Latin American Indigenous language screening program, HOLA CINE, we'll be featuring the Sloan supported animated film BALAM, by Gulliermo Casarin, and discussing the history of astronomy in early Mayan Culture. The talk will be led by Eileen Level, a youth media educator for NYICFF who co-launched an after-school media program designed to equip youth with digital learning tools to enhance their creativity and self-expression while developing social, emotional, and critical thinking skills. Eileen holds a Master's degree in Media Management and a Social Impact Entrepreneurship Fellowship from The New School.
